Health is a Story Over Time

Effectively capturing stories of health and healing is unlike most other types of storytelling.

Unbeknownst to the listeners of SUPERHUMANS, what often makes these stories so complicated to produce and edit is that health is a story over time, not a point in time.

The healing process is anything but linear and often shows up in ways we can’t explain for ourselves. The conversation with the storyteller often takes us down meandering rabbit holes and sticky quagmires. Although the episodes are roughly 30 mins in length, many of our conversations went on for several hours.

Understanding how to ask the right questions and spot the related answers is like threading a needle. As the story unfolds, we then carefully stitch together the elements that capture the true hero’s journey from struggle to resolution and everything in between.

In doing so, the storyteller often discovers things about themselves they didn’t realize before.

Now that you know this inside secret, take a listen for yourself and let me know what you think.
